The UpSkill Selective English Excellence Program is designed for students preparing for NSW Selective High School Placement Tests, Scholarship Examinations, ASAT, ACER and other academic entrance assessments.

Students progressively develop the skills required to interpret complex texts, think critically, communicate effectively and write with sophistication.
Learning Approach
The UpSkill Selective English Excellence Program primarily follows an integrated approach, with vocabulary, reading, critical thinking and writing taught together to reflect authentic language use and examination requirements. At times, individual skills and concepts may also be taught explicitly as standalone topics to provide focused instruction and support student mastery.
Students are encouraged to apply newly learned vocabulary, comprehension strategies and writing techniques across reading passages, discussion activities, writing tasks and examination-style questions. This helps students build transferable skills that support both academic success and Selective examination performance.
