What is ASAT
ASAT is a rigorous assessment program designed for children in Years 5 and 6 who will take the Selective High School Placement Test. It stands out from other practice exams by providing up-to-date questions and delivering exam content revisions in a manner that is consistent with those of the actual tests. Pre-Uni New College designed and administers the ASAT. For the information about the Selective High School Placement Test, please visit the NSW Department of Education website
What are the benefits
Students can get a sense of their present achievement level by taking the ASAT, which is held under the same exam settings as the actual Selective High School Placement Test. It is quite useful in assisting parents in selecting or reviewing appropriate school options for their selective high school applications.
How are the ASAT results reported
Approximately two weeks after the test, all applicants receive their ASAT result report by email. The student's determined profile score, rank, and other information on averages and levels in the skills relative to the rest of the applicants in the test are included in the report. The ASAT profile score is a scaled mark out of 120, similar to the Selective High School Placement Test format.
